Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck by SUV in Kenosha County

Incident Occurred Near 316th Avenue and County Highway W on January 2

On the evening of January 2, a pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Kenosha County.

 

The incident took place around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 316th Avenue and County Highway W in the Town of Randall.

 

According to Twin Lakes Fire and Rescue, initial reports indicated that the pedestrian was crossing the road when the SUV struck them.

 

Upon arrival, emergency responders found the individual lying in the roadway with serious, life-threatening injuries.

 

Due to the severity of the injuries, a LifeNet medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene.

 

The pedestrian was stabilized and then airlifted to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in critical condition.

 

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office assisted in the response and is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

 

As of now, no further details have been released regarding the identities of those involved or the current condition of the pedestrian.

 

Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.

 

This accident underscores the importance of vigilance for both drivers and pedestrians, especially during the winter months when road conditions can be hazardous.
