As fairways close, local golfers are pivoting to the high-tech indoor simulators at Brighton Dale Links for the winter months. |
The final putts have dropped for the year across Kenosha County.
The Outdoor Golf Season at Kenosha County Courses Ended Nov. 15, officially closing the book on another tremendous year of play.
Both Brighton Dale Links and Petrifying Springs Golf Course concluded their seasons on Saturday, as announced by Golf Director Jim Wallace.
This year was incredibly successful, coming just shy of the all-time record of more than 120,000 rounds set in 2024.
According to Wallace, the 2025 total was only about 500 rounds short of that historic milestone, demonstrating the continued passion for local golf.
A recent lake-effect snowstorm briefly halted play at Petrifying Springs, but officials confirmed it was expected to reopen for the final two days if conditions permitted.
For avid golfers, the game doesn't have to stop.
The indoor simulators at Brighton Dale are now fully operational, offering a way to keep swings sharp through the Wisconsin winter.
This marks the formal shift from outdoor play to indoor training for the local golf community.
These advanced simulators use Flightscope launch monitors and can be booked by the hour through the pro shop.
Wallace extended his gratitude to all the golfers who made it another great season, highlighting the county's pride in providing a premier experience for residents and visitors alike.
