Kenosha Woman Loses Over $650K in Gold Bar Scam as Charges Are Filed

A Kenosha woman has lost her home and entire life savings in a devastating betrayal that is shaking our community.

 

She was manipulated into liquidating over $650,000, including her 401(k), after scammers posing as federal agents convinced her that her bank accounts were compromised.

 

The criminals instructed her to convert her assets into gold bars for so-called “safekeeping.”

 

This heartbreaking incident is part of a massive gold bar scam sweeping across Wisconsin.

 

The victim, who sold her own house at the scammers' request, described the crime as a cruel form of senior exploitation.

 

But a breakthrough has finally arrived in the case.

 

The Kenosha Police Department announced that charges have been filed by the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office against two men.

 

One suspect, identified as Jagdishkumar Nandani of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, allegedly acted as the courier who picked up the gold.

 

His connection was discovered after police in Addison, Illinois, arrested him in a similar scheme and alerted local investigators.

 

Nandani now faces serious felony charges, including money laundering and theft of over $100,000.

 

Arrest warrants have been issued for both men involved.

 

Authorities are using this case to issue a stark warning about elder fraud, reminding residents that no government agency will ever demand payment in cash or gold bars.
