Dangerous Road Stretch in Randall Under Review After Latest Rollover

Following the fifth crash in a year on Fox River Road, Kenosha County officials confirm a major reconstruction project is planned for 2026, but residents say that isn't soon enough.

Another crash on a notorious stretch of Fox River Road has renewed calls for immediate safety improvements in Randall.

A recent rollover involving a commercial truck on County Highway W is the latest in a string of accidents fueling community frustration.

Residents describe the section as a known hazard, citing a treacherous combination of a steep hill and a blind curve.

This marks the fifth reported crash along this same road in just the past year.

Local business owner Quinn Smith has been a vocal critic, calling the road neglected and in desperate need of repair.

He expressed relief that the weekend's rollover resulted in only minor injuries, a fortunate outcome that residents fear may not be repeated.

In response to the outcry, officials have confirmed the dangerous road stretch in Randall is under review and slated for a major overhaul.

The project is a joint effort between Kenosha County and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Plans include significantly lowering the hill by roughly 12 feet and realigning the dangerous curve to improve driver visibility.

However, the fix is not immediate; construction is not scheduled to begin until spring 2026.

For neighbors who travel the road daily, that timeline feels frustratingly distant.

Until then, the community remains on high alert, hoping no more serious accidents occur before the long-awaited road improvements are complete.
