Brooks XC Midwest Region Rankings: Top 1000 Boys 2025 Updates and Local Highlights

Colorado Runners Dominate Early Season Rankings

The 2025 Brooks XC Midwest Region Rankings have been released, showcasing the top 1000 boys in cross country.

 

Colorado athletes have made a significant impact, with five runners placing in the top ten.

 

Leading the pack is Jay McDonald from Summit High School, who clocked an impressive 14:18.79 at the Mountain States Challenge.

 

Close behind is Oliver Horton of Coronado High School, achieving a personal best of 14:23.90 at the Desert Twilight meet.

 

Other notable Colorado runners include Dylan Blair from Eagle Valley and Noah Thompson of Lewis-Palmer, both recording times of 14:28.54 at the Mountain States Challenge.

 

These performances highlight the depth of talent in Colorado's cross country scene.

 

In the Midwest, Noblesville High School in Indiana stands out, ranking 12th nationally with a team rating of 174.96.

 

Other Midwest teams making their mark include Downers Grove North from Illinois at 16th and Bloomington North from Indiana at 21st.

 

These rankings underscore the competitive nature of the Midwest region.

 

As the season progresses, athletes and teams are gearing up for the upcoming Brooks XC Midwest Championship, scheduled for November 29th at UW-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

 

This event will serve as a qualifier for the national championships in San Diego on December 13th.

 

With such strong early-season performances, the Midwest Championship promises to be a thrilling competition.
